O último jogador de outra nacionalidade a ter sido o goleador máximo do Paulista tinha sido o britânico Whatley, que defendeu o Mackenzie College em 1913.

O ano de 2018 ainda reservou outra marca para Borja, que se tornou o primeiro jogador da história do Palmeiras a ter sido o artilheiro de dois torneios diferentes na mesma temporada – foi o goleador máximo da Libertadores, com nove gols, ao lado de Wilson Morelo, do Independiente Santa Fe, da Colômbia. Com 31 gols marcados em 88 jogos, ele também já está no Top 100 de maiores artilheiros do Palmeiras em todos os tempos.

Números importantes e que fazem o colombiano, contratado em 2017, se animar por um 2019 ainda melhor. Na única vez em que entrou em campo na temporada, já deixou sua marca. Contra o São Caetano, no Anacleto Campanella, terá mais uma oportunidade.

وأوضح موقع “le360” المغربي، أن ذلك يأتي من أجل الاستفادة من خدمات اللاعب في مباراتي الوداد أمام الأهلي في ذهاب وإياب نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا، المقرر لهما في الرابع والحادي عشر من الشهر الجاري.

ومن المقرر أن يدخل منتخب ليبيا معسكرًا من أجل مواجهة بوتسوانا في السابع عشر من شهر يونيو الجاري، ضمن منافسات المجموعة العاشرة.

The BCCI technical committee, in its first meeting chaired by Anil Kumble, was in favour of scheduling Ranji Trophy knockout matches at neutral venues, and longer gaps between matches, although no decisions were taken in Mumbai.”Everybody was receptive [to the idea]. More than the neutral venues, what has been recommended is a suggestive list of venues,” said Kumble, who replaced Sourav Ganguly as the head of the technical committee last October. “In the coming season we don’t have much of international cricket in India, [so] it is important to identify the neutral venues.”In the captains and coaches conclave on March 5, the teams had been equivocal in demanding that Ranji league games to be spaced out. They felt a three-day gap between league games was too small to recover. Kumble said the technical committee was also thinking on similar lines.”We felt at the start of the season a three-day break is good enough,” Kumble said. “But in the latter part of the season, we will certainly look at a minimum of a four-day break. There was also a discussion about the weather in various parts of India. Winter in the north, east and certain parts of central; and certain parts of south has little bit of late monsoon. So, that was also discussed.”This was just a preliminary meeting. We did discuss about the outcome of the captains and coaches conclave. We will soon have a meeting in April and at that time we will get into what needs to be recommended to the BCCI for the coming season.”The meeting was attended by all the members of the newly-formed committee, except for chairman of selectors Sandeep Patil, who was in Delhi for India’s fourth Test against Australia. Besides the other committee members, including Kumble, Vinay Lamba, MSK Prasad, Deep Dasgupta, Shashikant Khandkar, Mahendra Rajdev, Debasis Mohanty and VK Ramaswamy, BCCI’s general manager (cricket development) Ratnakar Shetty also attended the meeting.

O Flamengo publicou uma nota oficial, neste domingo, com esclarecimentos sobre três tópicos referentes ao incêndio que atingiu o alojamento das divisões de base no Ninho do Urubu, na última sexta, vitimando 10 atletas e deixando três jogadores feridos. São os seguintes pontos: assistência às famílias, módulos habitacionais e manutenção dos aparelhos de ar-condicionado.

Sobre a manutenção dos aparelhos de ar-condicionado – que, a princípio, iniciaram o incêndio -, o Flamengo registrou a manutenção preventiva que foi feita em 5 de fevereiro, três dias antes da tragédia, e deu maior detalhes do contrato de prestação de serviços firmado com o Colman Refrigeração LTDA.

Na nota, o clube reforçou o apoio amplo e irrestrito que está sendo dado aos familiares das vítimas, assim como aos feridos e sobreviventes. O Flamengo, neste momento, assumiu o compromisso de manter os salários pagos aos 10 atletas que perderam a vida. O empenho prioritário é “em amparar as famílias de forma material, moral e psicológica”.

O Flamengo, por fim, voltou a reforçar que os módulos habitacionais atendem às exigências das normas da legislação trabalhista e a empresa locadora NHJ do Brasil detém todas as certificações exigidas. Além disso, o clube esclareceu que “o poliuretano utilizado” na estrutura, “entre as chapas metálicas, não é propagador de incêndios, por ter característica auto-extinguível”.

The former Test offspinner Jason Krejza faces an uncertain future after he was not offered a contract with Tasmania for the coming season. The state contracting window opened last week and although the full squad is yet to be named, Cricket Tasmania has confirmed that Krejza and the allrounder Matt Johnston would not be part of the squad for next summer.The decision means Krejza, 30, could be forced to move interstate in an effort to keep his first-class career alive after a disappointing 2012-13 with the ball. Although Krejza made a career-best 118 not out during the Sheffield Shield season and topped Tasmania’s batting averages with 242 runs at 80.66, his primary role as a bowler did not bring enough rewards: he took only five wickets at 73.40 in four games.It was the second consecutive below-par summer for Krejza, who in 2011-12 collected seven Shield wickets at 63.57. Although he burst on to the Test scene in 2008 with 12 wickets on debut against India in Nagpur, Krejza was dropped after one more Test and his first match in the baggy green remains the only first-class game in which he collected five wickets in an innings.Overall, his first-class figures do not make impressive reading: in 54 appearances he has taken 114 wickets at 49.59. Although he was part of Australia’s World Cup squad in 2011, Krejza has slipped considerably from international contention and has spent the past few seasons struggling to unseat Xavier Doherty as Tasmania’s first-choice spinner.Krejza joined Tasmania in 2006-07 after moving from New South Wales, while the allrounder Johnston was also an interstate import, having signed with the Tigers in 2011-12 after beginning his career with Western Australia. Twenty-eight minutes into the final session at Headingley, Yorkshire clinched victory in what was a remarkable cricket match. Derbyshire, after scoring 475 in their first innings, lost by an innings and 39 runs, prompting jubilant scenes on the field and in the stands.Yesterday evening wise heads predicted a draw at the end of a possibly dull day. The pitch had been so flat, and so many runs had been plundered by batsmen on both sides on the first three days, that it was difficult to see how Yorkshire would take the necessary ten wickets. But they did it, and with more than thirty overs to spare.The hero of the hour was Jack Brooks. A few eyebrows were raised when Yorkshire brought him to Headingley from Northamptonshire to bolster the bowling for their first season back in Division One, but this afternoon he showed what a shrewd move it was.Derbyshire had set off needing 202 to make Yorkshire bat again after the home side had added 80 in ten overs. They made a shaky start but the fourth wicket partnership of Wayne Madsen and Wes Durston spent 25 overs steadying the innings, and it began to look as if Yorkshire’s chance was slipping away. But after they had put on 92 Brooks re-entered the attack and promptly got rid of both of them, first Durston to a fine reaction catch by Phil Jaques at midwicket, then Madsen lbw in his next over.When Madsen left Derbyshire were 150 for 5. The last five wickets could muster only 13 runs, and Brooks claimed three of them. In the first over after tea he took two in two balls, Dan Redfern caught behind and Tom Poynton lbw. The hat-trick ball missed Tim Groenewald’s off stump by a whisker after it hit his pad. Brooks bowled with sharp pace and reverse swing which the middle and lower order could not handle.Bowling at the other end Adil Rashid, who was finding turn and some bounce, knocked back Groenewald’s off stump. Tony Palladino took guard despite the side strain which is likely to keep him out of Derbyshire’s next match, but it was no surprise when Brooks trapped him. Brooks might be the most spectacular celebrator of a wicket in county cricket – a raucous roar and a sprint almost to the midwicket boundary, fists pumping – and he surpassed his earlier celebratory efforts with the fall of the last wicket.There are signs that Brooks might become something of a crowd favourite here. “I was a little bit worried when I first came here how they would take to a so-called foreigner from down south coming in, but as long as I keep putting performances in like that once in a while they’ll take to me,” he said.In the early part of the Derbyshire innings the other newcomer to Yorkshire’s attack, Liam Plunkett, took, arguably, the two most important wickets of the day. First he had Chesney Hughes, scorer of 270 monumental runs in the first innings, caught at slip, then Shivnarine Chanderpaul caught behind. One of the most remarkable statistics in a match that was full of them is that Chanderpaul’s contribution to the 1315 runs scored in the match was eight.And spare a thought for Hughes. Only three batsmen (Peter Perrin, Jason Gallian and Phil Mead) have scored more runs for a team to then lose by an innings. For Derbyshire, this defeat will be especially tough to take.
