O Vasco teve o fornecimento de água suspenso na última sexta-feira. A situação foi confirmada pelo clube, que alegou que está à espera de uma posição da Cedar sobre a renegociação de suas dívidas. O valor dos débitos gira em torno de R$ 10 milhões. O fornecimento vem sendo terceirizado desde os últimos dias do ano passado.

Confira a nota de esclarecimento:

“Em respeito a seus conselheiros, associados, funcionários e torcedores, o Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama vem a público atualizar e esclarecer algumas questões de ordem administrativa e financeira:

1. Até o presente momento, não foi possível concluir o recebimento dos R$ 18 milhões referentes à segunda parcela do empréstimo bancário no valor total de R$ 38 milhões, aprovado pelo Conselho Deliberativo no dia 17 de setembro de 2018;

2. O atraso se deve a dificuldades para a obtenção das garantias necessárias ao empréstimo, em decorrência de bloqueios judiciais sofridos pelo Clube;

3. Por meio de seu Departamento Jurídico, o Clube já adotou as medidas cabíveis junto aos meios competentes para equacionar o impasse, desbloquear suas contas e, assim, liberar as garantias para o empréstimo;

4. Como tem sido amplamente divulgado por esta Diretoria Administrativa, o empréstimo em questão é fundamental para o Clube honrar compromissos financeiros do exercício de 2018;

5. Em nome da transparência que pauta esta gestão, o Clube informa também que, no dia 28 de dezembro de 2018, a Companhia Estadual de Águas e Esgotos (Cedae) interrompeu o fornecimento de água na sede de São Januário. O Clube manifesta sua estranheza com a adoção de uma medida intempestiva como esta, no último dia útil de mandato da antiga Administração Estadual, no momento em que negocia com a alta direção da Cedae um acordo para a renegociação de antigas dívidas, no valor aproximado de R$ 10 milhões.

6. Poucos dias antes, a Diretoria Administrativa havia encaminhado à Cedae uma proposta para a repactuação dos débitos, para qual aguarda resposta. O Clube acredita que a direção da estatal terá o bom senso e a razoabilidade de reverter esta medida abrupta, como reconhecimento do empenho desta Diretoria Administrativa em equacionar todas as pendências;

7. Conforme tem sido amplamente divulgado, o Vasco montou um comitê de renegociação de dívidas, que já fechou acordo com quase 200 credores.

8. Esta Diretoria Administrativa reafirma, mais uma vez, que tem trabalhado incansavelmente para assegurar que o Clube honre todas as suas obrigações financeiras.”

وجه علي معلول، ظهير أيسر النادي الأهلي، الشكر إلى مدرب فريق الترجي التونسي نبيل معلول بعد المواجهة التي جمعتهما أمس الجمعة.

الأهلي فاز على الترجي، بثلاثة أهداف دون رد، في مباراة ذهاب دور نصف نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا بملعب رادس في تونس.

وقال معلول في تصريحات عبر الموقع الرسمي للأهلي: “أعتز بتصريحات نبيل معلول، المدير الفني لفريق الترجي عني بعد المباراة بأني أحد أفضل اللاعبين في الفريق”، مشيراً إلى أنها شهادة كبيرة يعتز بها من مدير فني صاحب اسم كبير في الكرة التونسية.

وأضاف: “الفوز على الترجي بثلاثية نظيفة على ملعبه برادس خطوة مهمة في مشوار المنافسة على لقب دوري أبطال إفريقيا”.

وتابع: “الترجي فريق كبير ويملك لاعبين لديهم خبرات ومقومات كبيرة، والأهلي تعامل مع اللقاء باحترام شديد، ونجح في تقديم عرض قوي من البداية”.

وواصل: “نحن نمتلك شخصية الأهلي الفريق البطل، التي تدفع الجميع نحو تقديم أفضل ما لديهم على أرضية الملعب”، لافتًا إلى أن مشوار الفريق بالبطولة كان صعبًا للغاية، خاصة في دور المجموعات.

وأتم: “أشعر بسعادة كبيرة لما أجده من دعم ومساندة من جماهير الأهلي، وأتمنى أن يكون التوفيق حليفًا للفريق حتى التتويج باللقب”.

ومن المقرر أن يواجه الأهلي نظيره الترجي، يوم الجمعة المقبل 19 مايو في إياب دور نصف النهائي للبطولة الإفريقية بملعب استاد القاهرة الدولي.

The PCB and PSL Management after thoughtful deliberations with stakeholders and considering the desire expressed by them to give more time to prepare to invest in the League, arrived at the following conclusions:
1. The concerns expressed by the stakeholders on tight timelines for submission of bids and leveraging of assets, hold merit.
2. Several requests are coming from other parties keen on picking up bid documents to become part of this extravaganza and hence more time given will benefit the League and all stakeholders.
3. While a lot of progress has already been made in getting tax exemption for PSL (broadcasters, franchise, players, investors) from the government, it seems that finalization of this approval would take some more time due to procedures involved at relevant authorities,and the bid process would already be concluded by the time tax exemptions are granted. This could impact upon the valuations done by various bidders.
4. Over 80 foreign players (and growing) have already signed to participate in PSL auction but the process of NOCs from the relevant boards is still underway and would require some time.
5. Some scheduling conflicts that arose after PSL dates were announced could result in potential star players missing out on the opportunity of participating in PSL.

The Pakistan Super League, the country’s franchise-based Twenty20 tournament, has been indefinitely postponed for the organisers to sort out logistical issues. The PSL, which is run by the Pakistan board, was supposed to be held between March 26 and April 7 in Pakistan but a PCB statement said the delay was to give investors more time to submit bids and also to avoid scheduling conflicts with other cricket tournaments.The decision was taken on Friday after PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf met the Pakistan interior minister Rehman Malik in Islamabad. The postponement wasn’t revealed in the press conference that followed the meeting but in a detailed press release that was subsequently issued. The PCB has formed a committee to look for a slot more feasible to the investors to reschedule the tournament.”The decision to move away from the planned dates of the PSL is an extremely difficult one but for the benefit of all stakeholders and the league,” PSL managing director Salman Sarwar Butt said. “The PCB management has decided to reschedule the event and move it to a period where there are fewer scheduling conflicts, and the stakeholders get enough time to develop their business plans.”The PSL business model – unveiled on January 10 – was expected to fetch the PCB “in excess of $100 million over the years.” It was to feature five teams and 23 matches, to be played at a single, as yet undisclosed, venue. The PCB had also announced the base prices of players at a proposed auction though they didn’t reveal the pool of players who had signed up for the tournament. The board also invited bids for the broadcasters and had been confident of lining up investors for the franchises within a month.”Over 15 potential franchise buyers, around 10 top broadcasters and various potential sponsors from large business houses have collected the bid documents and shown extremely keen interest in acquiring respective rights,” Butt said. “However, there are several other investors who would like us to give them more time for our various rights.”Launching the PSL wasn’t a straightforward business for the PCB as no international cricket has been played in Pakistan since a terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team bus during a Test in Lahore in 2009, and the country is still struggling with its law and order situation. The PCB itself has been hosting home series away from home, mostly in the United Arab Emirates, and no country is ready to provide No Objection Certificates (NOC) to its players for featuring in the PSL.The Federation of International Cricketers’ Associations (FICA) had also raised concerns over the security situation in Pakistan and warned players against taking part in the PSL, calling it an unmanageable risk. The original schedule would have also clashed with the pre-poll campaigns ahead of general elections expected to be held in May.ESPNcricinfo understands that there were suggestions to stage the PSL outside Pakistan but the PCB decided to keep it in the country, in line with the league’s stated objective of “improving the image of the country and revival of international cricket”.”There is no way we are backing down from our major objective,” Ashraf said. “We are extremely encouraged by various stakeholders including the broadcasters and financiers from across the world and looking at the response it gives us a lot of confidence that our league is a success. We envisage that as suggested, the shift in our timelines will drive more interested stakeholders towards PSL and make this one of the most sought after league in the cricketing world.”

No New Zealand player had waited longer for a Test debut than Bruce Martin when he was handed his cap in Dunedin last week after 115 first-class matches. The contrast with the man he’s covering for could hardly be greater. Daniel Vettori made his debut, as a bespectacled 18-year-old, after two games in 1997.Vettori is hoping to make his first tentative steps back into action next week when he plays in the domestic Ford Trophy one-day competition having not appeared for New Zealand since the World Twenty20. Martin, with nine wickets in a Test-and-a-half, is comfortably the most successful stand-in they have had since the tour of West Indies last year.However, it would just be Martin’s luck if Vettori proved his fitness in time for the England tour in May. There is room for both in a squad, but missing out would not be a foreign concept for him. “I wish someone had picked two left-arm spinners. He was a thorn in my side, so to speak, but he was a good fella to learn off as well,” Martin said.Watching Martin bowl, it’s as though he has done more than just learn off Vettori with an action and delivery that looks like a clone. “Everyone says it, but it’s just the way I bowl. I happen to look a bit like him, without the glasses.”Before his recall to the squad that toured South Africa earlier this year, the closest Martin had come before was being in a squad against Australia in 2000. Yes, that’s right, when Vettori was injured. Thirteen years later, in Dunedin, his opportunity came and he finished with a highly creditable five wickets in the match. Four more followed in England’s first innings at the Basin Reserve on a surface that “turned more than I’ve had this season.” It would have been five if the DRS had not been around to save Matt Prior from an lbw decision.”I’ve had 13 years to visualise playing Test cricket,” he said. “I’ve been playing this game for a long time in my head, so it’s nice to get out there and have a crack. Today was good, I picked up some pretty big wickets.”The reserves of knowledge those years of toil on the domestic circuit helped him to build up are not to be underestimated especially when Kevin Pietersen dispatches your first ball of the day straight down the ground for six. The fact that Pietersen could not do it again, and more than once found himself in a bit of tangle against Martin, is credit to the bowler who certainly did not take a backward step.”It’s nice to test yourself against a guy like that. He’s pretty ruthless the way he gets forward and gets back, such a big fella, and it was hard to get past him there at times. He’s such an imposing figure with the bat. I wanted to try and get in the fight a little bit, let him know I was there.”Such has been the dominance of New Zealand’s spin department by Vettori, that in the 16 years since his debut in 1997, the next most successful spinner for them in Tests has been Paul Wiseman with 61 scalps. Martin is already fifth on the list with his nine. Kane Williamson is one above him.However, as strange as it may sound regarding a bowler with 360 Test wickets, never mind 4516 runs, does Vettori walk back into the New Zealand side? In his last nine Tests, which date back to January 2011, he has taken 21 wickets at 41.57 which includes a five-wicket haul against Zimbabwe. Clearly, you do not leave out a cricketer of Vettori’s calibre without a great deal of thought, but time catches up with everyone.In those same nine Tests Vettori averages 28.93 with the bat, with a hundred against Pakistan, so he still brings all-round value but Martin showed, with a bristling 41 in Dunedin, that he was not a rabbit. Martin is not going to lose the enjoyment of the moment by thinking about the future.”Every time I get a bowl out there I just treat it as my last Test and I’ve got to perform,” he said. “That’s kind of what’s like when you are my age. You have to keep putting the numbers up there and make them pick you. It’s all gone past so quick that it’s a bit of a blur to be honest. Test, sleep, Test. It’s a way it’s nice to get a bit of reward for 100-odd games of toil.”

واختلفت تصريحات المسئولين في برشلونة بينها وبين تصريحات والد ميسي، خورخي ميسي، حيث قال كل طرف إن الطرف الأخر هو المسئول عن عودة ميسي وبيده القرار.

وبسبب المشاكل الاقتصادية وفاتورة الرواتب في برشلونة، فإن النادي الكتالوني تحرك لبدء خطة بديلة لاستعادة ميسي، وهي التواصل مع إنتر ميامي الأمريكي، الذي كان يستهدف ميسي أيضًا.

وبحسب صحيفة ليكيب الفرنسية، فإن برشلونة يريد من إنتر ميامي التعاقد مع ميسي ثم يذهب إلى برشلونة على سبيل الإعارة لمدة تتراوح من 6 أشهر إلى 18 شهرًا.

علق سليمان وهدان عضو مجلس إدارة الزمالك على تصريحات مرتضى منصور رئيس النادي بشأن عزله من منصبه في القلعة البيضاء.

وقال وهدان في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة “إم بي سي مصر”: “لا تعليق على تصريحات مرتضى منصور بشأن عزلي من مجلس الزمالك وهناك قانون يحميني أنا وأي عضو مجلس إدارة، وآخر جلسة حضرتها كانت في يوم 9 مايو الماضي، والقانون ينص على عزل عضو مجلس الإدارة أو الرئيس حال تغيبه عن 3 جلسات”.

وأكمل: “والقانون ينص على شرط عقد الاجتماع مرة كل شهر، ولا يمكن عقد 5 اجتماعات مجلس إدارة في أسبوع ثم يتم عزلي على هذا الأساس، ولم يردني أي شيء بشأن عزلي من جانب وزارة الرياضة”.

وتابع: “أتمنى عودة الزمالك لمنصات التتويج بالبطولات الرياضية، تعرض النادي لمشكلات ليست في مصلحة أي شخص، والأندية الجماهيرية هي عصب الكرة في مصر”.

وأردف: “الزمالك مقبل على المشاركة في البطولة العربية خلال يوليو المقبل، ولاعبو الفريق على قدر المسؤولية وإن شاء الله سنعود للفوز بالبطولات ونحن نمثل مصر”.

وبسؤاله عن وجود مطالب بانسحاب الزمالك من البطولة العربية، أوضح: “دائمًا أردد أنه مثلما يجب أن يستعد كل حزب للانتخابات فعلى كل فريق أن يلعب كرة القدم، ونكون جاهزين لأي بطولة، وعلينا ألا نستمع لمثل هذا الكلام واللعب بشكل جيد في البطولة”.

واختتم: “سمعت عن وجود شكوى من جانب لاعبي فريق اليد بالزمالك وليس لدي معلومة مؤكدة، وإذا حدث هذا فسنتمكن من احتواءه”.
