ومن المعروف أن جوارديولا علاقته سيئة حقًا بيايا توريه، حيث لم يكن الثنائي على وفاق سواء في برشلونة، أو في مانشستر سيتي.
وتسبب جوارديولا بشكل رئيسي في رحيل توريه عن صفوف برشلونة عام 2010، ثم جاء المدرب الإسباني ليدرب الدولي الإيفواري السابق في مانشستر سيتي وتسبب في رحيله كذلك عن النادي الإنجليزي.
وقال توريه في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة ديلي ميل: “لا أرى رجلاً أمامي، بل أرى ثعباناً”.

وأضاف توريه في حديثه عن جوارديولا: “اتصل بي مدرب برشلونة آنذاك وقال لي، عليك أن تعود الأمر مهم، ثم قالت لي زوجتي هل ستستمع إلى هذا الهراء؟ لقد عاملك معاملة سيئة، والآن يريدك أن تبقى، وأنت ستبقى؟ دعنا نذهب إلى مانشستر يا أخي”.
واختتم توريه: “لم يشركني هذا الرجل في المباريات طوال العام، وفي نهاية العام، أتألق في كأس العالم عام 2010 ويأخذني مرة أخرى إلى برشلونة، كانت زوجتي تخبرني عنه وتقول لي، إنه شيطان، إنه ليس رجلاً، إنه شرير، كانت تراه شخصًا سلبيًا”.
توريه لعب تحت قيادة جوارديولا في برشلونة لمدة موسمين، قبل الرحيل إلى مانشستر سيتي خلال صيف عام 2010، وذلك مقابل 30 مليون يورو.

But in his first outing since that disappointment, Subrayen reminded everyone of his qualities. On Friday in Bengaluru, he wheeled away tirelessly, bowling 22 overs unchanged to rip through the heart of India A’s batting order and restore South Africa A’s advantage by stumps on Day 2 of the first unofficial Test. From 90 for no loss, India slumped to 234 all out as Subrayen picked up 5 for 61. Having pocketed a 75-run first-innings lead, South Africa A ended the day 30 for no loss.Subrayen’s five scalps included some noted names. He deceived Ayush Mhatre in flight as he advanced, forcing him to chip to midwicket for 65, the highest score of the India A innings. For some, an overreliance on Erling Haaland is something Manchester City need to be cautious of moving forward, hence they may now make a move to sign Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo as he is available for £65 million.

Labelled “top drawer” by Jamie O’Hara, initial contact has been made for the Rouen-born man as Guardiola steps up his hunt for invention, even if Ndiaye is unlikely to be an out-and-out alternative to Haaland.
Over a long Premier League season, his ability to operate almost anywhere in a front four is a commodity most managers would love to have, especially given he has created 15 chances in the top-flight circa 2025/26, per Fotmob. Based on that, it’s perhaps no wonder previous reports have suggested he is valued at £70m.
Now, it remains to be seen whether they can push a deal over the line as Guardiola seeks reinforcements in order to further Manchester City’s title challenge.

Villa sent out a message to the rest of the Premier League by picking up a dramatic late victory against league leaders Arsenal on Saturday afternoon, with Emiliano Buendia firing home in stoppage time to secure a 2-1 win.
In the wake of the result, which leaves Emery’s side just three points behind the Gunners, Mikel Arteta has admitted the Villans are genuine Premier League title contenders.
When asked whether the Villa Park outfit can challenge, Arteta said: “They are. When you look at where they are, the way they play, they have beaten some big teams, especially at home. Everybody is going to have to play everybody, so at the moment they are where they are and we are there as well.”
That said, it is still early days, given that we aren’t even at the half-way stage of the season just yet, and Emery is eager to bring in some new reinforcements, who could boost his side’s title push, during the January transfer window.
That is according to a report from Spain, which states the Aston Villa manager is now personally keen on signing Athletic Club star Mikel Jauregizar next month, but a deal could be on the expensive side.
Villa are prepared to offer up to €60m (£52m) to secure Jauregizar’s signature, with the Spanish club reluctant to sanction a departure unless they receive an ‘irresistible’ bid.
Emery believes the central midfielder would be an ideal fit in his system, and the Villans are now determined to get a deal done, so much so that they may even be willing to make an even higher bid.

If Villa are going to make a genuine push to win the Premier League title, they may need to bring in some new players with experience at the highest level, and the 22-year-old has been impressing in the Champions League this season, chipping in with two assists in five matches.
Hailed as an “underrated baller” by scout Ben Mattinson, the maestro is also strong at winning back possession, averaging 2.87 tackles per 90 over the past year, placing him in the 89th percentile, when compared to other midfielders.
