أعلن مجيد بوقرة، المدير الفني لـ منتخب الجزائر للمحليين، قائمة محاربو الصحراء، لمواجهة منتخب مصر الثاني وديًا خلال شهر نوفمبر الحالي.

ويتواجه منتخب مصر مع الجزائر وديًا في مباراتين، يومي 14 نوفمبر و17 نوفمبر، بملعب السلام في القاهرة، ضمن الاستعدادات لـ كأس العرب.

وشهدت قائمة منتخب الجزائر، استدعاء لاعب النادي المصري، عبد الرحيم دغموم ومعه لاعب الأهلي السابق أمير سعيود الذي يلعب حاليًا مع نادي الحزم السعودي.

ويقود منتخب مصر الثاني، جهاز فني بقيادة حلمي طولان ومعه أحمد حسن مديرًا للمنتخب وعصام الحضري مدربًا للحراس، وذلك بقرار من اتحاد الكرة المصري، بعد رفض حسام حسن المدير الفني لمنتخب مصر خوض البطولة في وقت الاستعداد لـ كأس أمم إفريقيا بالمغرب.

Left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam ripped out Sri Lanka’s middle order after Bangladesh’s batters had scrapped together a workable 248, thanks to gritty half-centuries from Parvez Hossain Emon and Towhid Hridoy.The defining period of Sri Lanka’s chase was the patch between the tenth and 30th overs, when they lost five wickets for 57 runs off 122 balls. Although Janith Liyanage produced a valiant 78 off 85 balls, the lower order was simply left with too much to accomplish. They eventually fell short by 16 runs.Sri Lanka’s loss was despite a scorching 56 off 31 balls by Kusal Mendis, who had smote his way to a 20-ball fifty – the fastest ever for men’s ODIs at this venue, and the fourth fastest ever by a Sri Lanka batter (Kusal is also third on this list). Seam bowler Asitha Fernando had also been impressive, taking 4 for 35 in his nine overs. In fact, Sri Lanka had bowled out Bangladesh as early as the 46th over.But ultimately, Bangladesh put on the more impressive team performance. Though their best batting partnership was worth only 63, Emon, Hridoy and later Tanzim Hasan Sakib made valuable contributions that kept the total ticking even while wickets fell. Sakib’s contribution, a stroke-filled 33 not out off 21 balls, proved invaluable in the end.All told, it was Sri Lanka’s middle-order collapse that defined the outcome. Tanvir, the hero of that passage, had in fact begun quite poorly, conceding 22 runs in his first two overs with Kusal hitting him for three fours and a six. But captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz persisted with him inside the powerplay, and Tanvir rewarded him with Nishan Madushka’s wicket in the tenth over, as the batter sent an outside edge aerially to backward point after Tanvir had beaten him in the flight.His work through the middle overs was much more impressive. He took the key wicket of Kusal, who came down the track hoping to clip through midwicket, only for Tanvir to slip one into his front pad. The lbw appeal was turned down on the field but was reviewed successfully by Bangladesh. Next over, Tanvir had Kamindu Mendis chipping tamely to midwicket, the ball perhaps stopping on the batter. Then later, in his final over, he had Dunith Wellalage caught bat-pad. In between the Tanvir wickets, Mehidy and offspin allrounder Shamim Hossain also imposed themselves. Shamim’s economy rate was especially impressive – he gave away only 22 in nine overs, and took the wicket of the in-form Charith Asalanka.Later, Liyanage began to hit out in the company of the tail and found success with his big hits, much to the Khettarama crowd’s joy. He even struck two death-overs sixes down the ground to keep the required rate manageable. Had he batted till the end, Sri Lanka may have won, but Mustafizur Rahman duped him with a slower one and had him caught and bowled with 21 runs to get off 17 balls. Though Dushmantha Chameera had protected his wicket well until that point, this was too much for the last pair.In Bangladesh’s innings, their best partnership came early on. Tanzid Hasan was out edging an Asitha slower ball in the third over, but Emon took the reins in a brisk 63-run partnership to which Najmul Hossain Shanto’s contribution was only 14. Emon preyed on errors of length especially. He hit three sixes, two of them over deep midwicket, and scored 72% of his runs on leg side.Hridoy was more cautious than Emon had been, with Asitha, in particular, taking out other batters in the middle order. But he still prospered mostly square of the wicket, hitting just two offside fours in an innings in which he struck at 73.Shamim and Jaker Ali also scratched out 20s, as Wanindu Hasaranga, Asitha, and Chameera combined through the late middle overs to make regular breakthroughs. No. 8 batter Sakib struck the ball most cleanly of all Bangladesh’s batters as Sri Lanka hunted for the final few wickets. He hit two sixes down the ground off Hasaranga, before Hasaranga caught Mustafizur in front, later in that 46th over of the innings.The victory brought Bangladesh level with Sri Lanka in the three-match series. The decider will be played in Pallekele on Tuesday.

Villans continue return to form with victory against Man City

Villa’s five-game winning streak was brought to an abrupt end in the Europa League on Thursday night, losing 2-1 away at Go Ahead Eagles, but they got back on track with a statement victory against Man City on Sunday afternoon.

Matty Cash scored the only goal of the game in the first half, with the full-back’s strike from just outside ensuring the Villans moved up to eighth in the Premier League table, having turned things around after a slow start to the season.

Heading into the game, Unai Emery would’ve no doubt been worried about Haaland, who is regarded as one of the best strikers in the world, considering he’s been on a remarkable run of form for club and country.

However, Emery’s side successfully nullified the Norwegian’s threat, keeping a clean sheet in the 1-0 victory, which ended City’s nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

Having been the team to bring Haaland’s fantastic run of form to an end, Aston Villa took a swipe at the centre-forward on X after the match, saying: “Good job Matty Cash had his raw milk and tomahawk steak for breakfast this morning.”

The jibe makes reference to the 25-year-old’s first video on his YouTube channel, during which he showed a day in the life of a professional footballer and revealed what his diet usually consists of.

Cash on form as Villa pick up fourth league win in a row

Aston Villa struggled at the beginning of the season, suffering a 3-0 home defeat against Crystal Palace and a 1-0 loss at Brentford, but they have started to prove they could be in the mix for European qualification once again.

Although City’s current side may not be at the level of the centurions, they have been in great form, winning their previous three league games, but the Villans brought that grinding to a halt, courtesy of a solid display.

Aside from scoring the winning goal, it was a strong all-round performance from Cash, who chipped in with four clearances, two tackles and one interception to extend his side’s winning run to four games in the Premier League.

Emery will be hoping his side can continue their current form in the coming weeks, but there are some tricky fixtures on the horizon, with Anfield always a difficult place to go, despite their recent struggles.

Veteran manager Sam Allardyce has voiced his willingness to fill the current vacancy at Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Hired in late 2024, Vitor Pereira guided Wolves away from the relegation zone in the second half of the 2024/25 Premier League season. Across the summer, though, the club sold star players Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Cunha, replacing them with options that, seemingly, are not of the same quality. After 10 league matches without a win, Pereira was sacked by Wolves in early November, despite having signed a new contract earlier in the year.

Since the Portuguese was dismissed, Wolves have been linked with a number of potential replacements. Gary O’Neil, who himself was replaced by Pereira at Molineux, was seemingly in the frame for what would have been a shock return. O’Neil has since taken himself out of the running to be the manager that will try and ensure Wolves’ Premier League safety.

O’Neil, who had a generally solid tenure at Molineux, would have been a bold appointment from the Midlands club, whose search for a new manager is ongoing. As per David Ornstein of The Athletic, Erik ten Hag is “among the other candidates”. The former Man United manager was hired by Bayer Leverkusen to replace Xabi Alonso in the summer but was sacked after just three matches with the German side.

Now, it would appear that an English football icon is open to trying to save Wolves from dropping to the Championship.

Allardyce would be open to Wolves job

As per talkSPORT, Sam Allardyce would be open to taking the current vacancy at Molineux. Having been out of work since his brief stint in charge of Leeds United came to an end in 2023, the veteran said:

Since taking up management in the early 1990s, Allardyce has worked extensively in the past three decades. The Englishman found a lot of success with Bolton between 1999 and 2007, going onto manage sides including Blackburn Rovers, West Ham and the England national team amongst many others.

بدأ المران بفقرة الإحماء، تبعها تنفيذ بعض الجمل الفنية والخططية، قبل أن يختتم الجهاز الفني المران بتدريبات على تسديد ركلات الترجيح تحسبًا لأي سيناريو محتمل في اللقاء.

وشهد التدريب حضور المهندس هاني أبو ريدة، رئيس الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم والمشرف العام على المنتخب، إلى جانب أعضاء المجلس مصطفى أبو زهرة، ومحمد أبو حسين، وطارق أبو العينين، لدعم اللاعبين قبل المباراة.

ووفقًا لنظام البطولة، سيواجه الفائز من لقاء مصر وأوزبكستان منتخب إيران يوم 18 نوفمبر، بينما يلعب الخاسر أمام الرأس الأخضر في 17 من الشهر ذاته على ملعب هزاع بن زايد، بعدما حسم المنتخب الإيراني تأهله بركلات الترجيح أمام الرأس الأخضر في المباراة الافتتاحية.
