أعلن مجلس إدارة نادي الاتحاد السكندري، برئاسة محمد سلامة، عن التعاقد مع محمود عبد الرحيم “جنش”، حارس مرمى الزمالك ومودرن سبورت السابق، لتدعيم صفوف الفريق الأول لكرة القدم خلال الموسم الجديد.

وأوضح الاتحاد السكندري في بيان رسمي، عبر صفحته على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي “فيس بوك”، أن التعاقد مع جنش سيكون لمدة موسم واحد فقط، في صفقة انتقال حر، بعد انتهاء عقده مع مودرن سبورت بنهاية الموسم الماضي.

وشدد البيان على أن التعاقد مع الحارس المخضرم جاء بناءً على رغبة الجهاز الفني للفريق بقيادة الكابتن أحمد سامي، في إطار خطة الإدارة لتدعيم المراكز التي تحتاج إلى عناصر خبرة، استعدادًا لمنافسات الموسم الكروي 2025-2026.

وأجرى جنش كافة الفحوصات الطبية الروتينية بنجاح، والتي أكدت جاهزيته البدنية والبدء في التدريبات الجماعية، تمهيدًا للانخراط في فترة الإعداد التي يخطط لها الجهاز الفني قبل انطلاق الموسم الجديد.

ويُعد جنش واحدًا من أبرز الحراس في الكرة المصرية خلال السنوات الأخيرة، حيث لعب دورًا محوريًا في تتويج الزمالك بعدة بطولات محلية وإفريقية، قبل أن يخوض تجربة جديدة مع مودرن سبورت، قاد خلالها الفريق للظهور بشكل جيد خلال الموسم الماضي.

That will be one staging post towards a complete exit from the international game, with Warner hoping his final game in Australia colours is at the 2024 T20 World Cup.That Warner gets as far as that Sydney Test is not guaranteed given his recent Test form. And the glut of cricket between now and then, especially for an all-format opener, makes it even trickier. But it means, in effect, this Ashes could be the last time Warner plays a Test away from home.Warner is gearing up for what could be as many as six Tests in eight weeks, a World Test Championship (WTC) final against India next week, followed swiftly by the Ashes. His recent Test form has been poor, aggravated by an elbow fracture that ruled him out of the second half of Australia’s Test series in India.”I’ve always said the [2024 T20] World Cup will be my final game, but I think I probably owe it to myself and my family,” Warner said ahead of a training session in Beckenham in the lead up to the WTC final. “If I can score runs here, continue to play back in Australia, I can definitely say I won’t be playing that West Indies [Test] series. If I get through this and I can make the Pakistan series, I will definitely finish up then.”Warner played his 100th Test against South Africa at the MCG last summer, lighting up the Boxing Day Test a with a double-hundred. In March, Ricky Ponting said that the double-hundred was the ideal opportunity for Warner to say goodbye to red-ball cricket.That hundred was his first since January 2020. Since the start of 2022, the issue has become more acute: he’s averaging 26 since then with just two fifties and a hundred in his last 24 innings.”For me I’ve always played every game as if it’s my last,” Warner said. “That’s my style of cricket. I enjoy being around the guys, I love being part of the team, trying to be that ball of energy in the group. I want to just keep working as hard as I can to get there.”The amount of cricket Australia are scheduled to play to that point, however, will be a factor in deciding how far Warner does get. After the English summer, Australia have white-ball commitments in South Africa and India, before the 50-over World Cup. Right after the tournament, they stay on to play a T20I series against India.”Going back 12 months, [the schedule] looked very daunting,” Warner said. “Whether or not you’re going to play this Test before this series, given there is a World Cup as well, and we have South Africa as well. And then cricket on the back end of the World Cup in India. Leading into a home summer it’s going to be exhausting and I think the boys, rightfully so, the selectors have been speaking to them about the series that we are priding ourselves on. This [WTC] championship, the Ashes, then the World Cup, the big one.”For us, we have to be up and about. The senior players have to put our hands up, take wickets and score a lot of runs, for us to be on top. If we can manage that and do that, whatever the future throws at the team, we will be able to handle it.”If Warner does get to that Test farewell, it will leave him to prepare for the T20 World Cup, scheduled to be played in the West Indies and USA in middle of next year. That may involve him looking for various franchise deals from February onwards.”I want to play that 2024 World Cup, it’s something at the backend of my mind. We’ve got a lot of cricket before that. And then I think it stops from February. For me, then I have to play the IPL, some of the other franchise leagues and then get into the rhythm to play that, in June. Will be a bit of cricket around to play.”

O árbitro de Santa Catarina se envolveu em polêmicas recentes e quase todas elas relacionadas à uma mesma questão: penalidades. Um desses casos aconteceu em uma partida entre o Tricolor paulista e o Botafogo, em 2021.

Na ocasião, Braulio teria falhado ao marcar um pênalti para o São Paulo após uma disputa entreDavid Sousa e Gabriel Sara. Luciano ficou responsável por bater, mas foi defendido pelo goleiro Diego Loureiro.

A equipe carioca saiu com a vitória, por 1 a 0, porém o lance polemizou mesmo assim – já que deu a oportunidade ao São Paulo de empatar.

Este não foi o único caso polêmico que se envolveu. Neste ano, em maio, o árbitro chegou a ser denunciadopela Procuradoria de Justiça Desportiva por abuso de autoridade em uma partida entre o Red Bull Bragantino e o Atlético-MG, válida pelo Campeonato Brasileiro.

A denúncia foi feita por conta de uma ação aos 31 minutos de jogo. Braulio da Silva Machado assinalou uma falta para a equipe de Bragança. Éric Ramires pegou a bola sendo repreendido pelo juiz, que ergueu os dois dedos indicadores em direção ao atleta.

A Procuradoria de Justiça Desportiva fez a acusação, mas o STDJ absolveu.

E não para por aí. Em junho deste ano, na derrota do Flamengo por 3 a 1 para o Internacional, o Rubro-Negro contestou dois lances que teriam supostamente sido falhas do árbitro.

O primeiro foi um pênalti não marcado sobre Gabigol. O outro foi uma penalidade marcada para o Colorado, que ocasionou o terceiro gol da partida. Em ambos, o VAR não foi consultado.

Em menos de uma semana, outra equipe polemizou com o juiz. Mais uma vez envolvendo um pênalti, dado na vitória do Corinthians por 1 a 0 contra o Goiás, pelo Brasileirão.

Braulio da Silva Machado sinalizou a falta depois da bola tocar o braço de Caio Vinícius, após um chute de Róger Guedes. Fábio Santos converteu com sucesso.

Além de Braulio, Kleber Lucio Gil e Fabrício Vilarinho da Silva farão parte da equipe de arbitragem. No VAR, Adriano Milczvski fica no comando da cabine.

Yashasvi Jaiswal continues his dream red-ball debuts

Centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma put India in a commanding position on the second day of the first Test at Windsor Park. At stumps, India were 312 for 2, leading West Indies by 162 with Jaiswal unbeaten on 143 and Virat Kohli 36.Having started the day on 80 for no loss, Jaiswal and Rohit showed great patience throughout their 229-run partnership. It was the first time in Test cricket that India took a first-innings lead without losing a wicket.Run scoring wasn’t easy, though. India managed only 232 in 90 overs on the second day despite losing just two wickets. West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite used nine bowlers with Rahkeem Cornwall being the most threatening. However, Cornwall had to leave the field in the first session with a chest infection and did not return.Jaiswal was the first to bring up his hundred, becoming the third Indian opener after Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw, and the 17th Indian overall, to do so on Test debut.Rohit followed shortly afterwards with a four off Alick Athanaze. It was his tenth century in Test cricket, and only second outside India in 27 matches. But off the very next ball, he gloved the spinner onto his thigh and Joshua Da Silva caught the rebound.Before this Test, Shubman Gill had told India’s coach Rahul Dravid that he wanted to bat at No. 3. With the spinners getting turn and bounce, West Indies delayed taking the second new ball until the 101st over. In their desperation for another wicket, they also burnt two reviews against Kohli but India survived that period.In the third over with the second new ball, Kemar Roach rapped Jaiswal on the pads but Richard Kettleborough turned down the lbw appeal. West Indies had no reviews left and replays showed the ball would have gone on to hit the leg stump.The second new ball was just eight overs old when Brathwaite brought back Warrican. It was only then that Kohli, having faced 80 balls, scored his first boundary with a cover drive. He celebrated with an air punch and a big smile. By stumps, he and Jaiswal had added 72 for the third wicket.In the morning, Jason Holder and Roach stuck to a good length outside off, conceding just 19 in the first nine overs of the day. The first boundary off the bat came in the tenth when Jaiswal pulled Joseph to bring up his half-century. The shot also brought up India’s first opening century stand in 23 innings, since KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal added 117 against South Africa in Centurion in December 2021.After the first drinks interval, Rohit reached his half-century as well. He also had some advice for Jaiswal whenever the youngster looked impatient or played a loose shot.Cornwall was getting assistance from the surface and had challenged both of Jaiswal’s edges before the break. On the other side of it, he pinged him on the helmet with extra bounce as the left-hander failed to connect a sweep. Warrican, much quicker through the air than Cornwall, also found big turn to beat Rohit’s outside edge, but a wicket eluded West Indies.At the start of the second session, Jaiswal tried to raise the tempo. He skipped down the pitch a couple of times against Warrican but didn’t have much success. It was Rohit who showed the way by chipping Holder down the ground for a four. In Holder’s next over, Jaiswal also threw his bat around to pick up two fours, the first of those coming off an outside edge.West Indies moved to plan B after that, with Alzarri Joseph bowling the short stuff. With the ball coming slower off the surface, Rohit twice miscued the pull but was lucky both times. From the other end, Warrican found Rohit’s outside edge but it fell short of the slip fielder.Jaiswal played the short ball much better, even pulling Joseph behind square leg for four. Having taken 16 balls to open his account on day one, he took just 31 deliveries to move from 70 to 100, displaying the versatility that was the hallmark of his innings.

Na fase de classificação, o Inter obteve a terceira melhor campanha da competição com 33 pontos.
