Agora, o documento será encaminhado ao Conselho Deliberativo do Botafogo, que abrirá uma votação interna sobre o pedido da Chapa Verde. Vale ressaltar que Durcesio Mello, no dia da cerimônia de posse, em 4 de janeiro, afirmou que ter votos para sócios-torcedores é um desejo pessoal.

No documento, a Chapa Verde afirma que haverão duas modalidades de sócios: os que moram no Rio de Janeiro e aqueles que residem fora da Cidade Maravilhosa. O primeiro custará entre R$ 40 e R$ 50 e o segundo entre R$25 e R$ 32 – além de custos adicionais que podem ser escolhidos por cada pessoa, como, por exemplo, um pacote para poder ir aos jogos da temporada.

A Chapa Verde que o dinheiro arrecadado por meio dos sócios que terem interesse em votar será dividido para o investimento do clube: 20% para a subsistência do CT, 60% para a manutenção dos contratos de jogadores da base e contratação de atletas, 10% para marketing, publicidade e propaganda e outros 10% para reserva financeira.

Three UAE cricketers – Rohan Mustafa, Ahmed Raza and Rameez Shahzad – who were suspended last month, were asked by the Emirates Cricket Board to issue formal apologies to the Pakistan Cricket Board for criticising ground facilities in Karachi during the Emerging Teams Cup. In a statement, the Emirates board confirmed that the apologies had been “received and accepted” by the PCB.The players had each been handed eight-week suspensions from international cricket for violating the ‘Player’s Code of Conduct’ and requirements for the use of social media. The players had tweeted criticising the ground facilities in Karachi after rain wiped out their hopes of a semi-final spot in the Emerging Teams Cup. They had also been fined and the Emirates Cricket Board has said the collected fines will be donated to a Karachi-based charity. The three players, although unavailable for selection, have been training alongside the national squad, which is preparing for the upcoming series against Nepal.”Following the recent disciplinary sanctions imposed on three of its professional players, Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has today confirmed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has received and accepted formal apologies made to them by the players,” a statement by ECB said. “As a gesture of good will, ECB will donate the fines imposed on the players to a Karachi-based charity. A win would have boosted UAE’s prospects of playing the semi-final.The PCB, however, has not made a statement and on the fitness of the venue for future games. Graham Potter’s style of play

During his time at Chelsea, Potter struggled to implement the fluid 3-4-2-1 tactics that worked so well for the Seagulls, often fluctuating between a three-back variant or a 4-2-3-1. The lack of a clear identity, roles, and understanding cost the side severely, especially in attack, as they failed to score in 12 of his 31 matches.

Potter's philosophy relies on technical players who are comfortable in possession, work extremely hard, and are able to take risks when playing out from the back. Andre Onana is the perfect keeper for the boss, but the backline would need some re-shuffling, with Luke Shaw featuring as a wide centre-back.

The midfield is where Potter would have issues, with United’s current set of players lacking ball retention, dribbling, press resistance, and out-of-possession reliability. The forwards would also have to increase their defensive output and learn to be more direct in 1v1 scenarios.

As you can see, the current Manchester United squad does not already match the 3-4-2-1 system that Potter should return to, as the boss would rely on versatile players that can cover multiple roles with ease, such as Leandro Trossard, who featured as a centre forward, an attacking midfielder, and almost a left-wing back at Brighton. Unless Ratcliffe backs him in the transfer market, it is difficult to see the move working out, and his appointment certainly wouldn’t be a quick fix.

Despite Potter guaranteeing attractive football, Manchester United need a manager with experience, a clear system, the ability to deal with pressure, and the ability to manage some of the biggest personalities in football. Unfortunately, Potter’s time at Chelsea showed the above to be his downfall.

A British coach who performed well at a smaller club and struggled at a big side sounds awfully familiar, and Ratcliffe must ensure that a David Moyes-type scenario doesn’t occur again.

The Scot was backed as the man to succeed the remarkable Sir Alex Ferguson but it ended in disaster, Moyes being sacked just ten months into the role. It's a decision that arguably the Red Devils are still reeling from.

It has been reported that Villa want to sign two new attackers at the beginning of 2024, with one player linked being Oscar Gloukh from RB Salzburg. More recently, it has been added that RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho are also attackers Villa have set their sights on, so it could be a busy start to the New Year as the club continue their remarkable push for Champions League football under Emery.

However, there could be some players who leave the club over the coming weeks, one being loanee Clement Lenglet. The centre-back has struggled for game time since arriving from Barcelona and has been linked with a move to AC Milan, who made contact with the Spanish giants over a possible deal earlier this month.

Sport Witness relayed a new transfer update regarding Lenglet’s Aston Villa future in the last 48 hours, with reports from Italy claiming that ‘the negotiations continue’ between the three clubs involved, meaning AC Milan, Barcelona and Aston Villa.

There is a hint of reluctance coming from Villa over ending the centre-back’s season-long loan early, so it looks as if they may actually have a say in a potential deal despite it previously looking like the decision could be out of their hands. Fabrizio Romano said last week:

"Nothing is close to being signed regarding the future of Lenglet but I have reported that AC Milan have asked for information on the player, that’s it for the moment. The club wanted to be informed so let’s see what they decide to do. Of course, the deal would be made with Barcelona and not with Aston Villa, but it’s still early stages."

Lenglet, labelled "very reliable" by Tottenham writer John Wenham last year during his stint in north London, made his first Premier League appearance for the club off the bench against Sheffield United after being named as a substitute in the previous14 top-flight fixtures. The Frenchman has made five appearances for Villa in the Europa Conference League, though, helping the club top the group, so Villa may see the 28-year-old as a strong option to have in their squad for the second half of the campaign. Should Lenglet leave Villa for Milan next month, Emery would be left with Pau Torres, Ezri Konsa, Diego Carlos, Kortney Hause and the injured Tyrone Mings as senior centre-back options, so it’ll be interesting to see where Lenglet is playing his football come 1st February.

The Multan Sultans players have been fined 10% of their match fees each, after being found to be two overs short of their required over rate. They were sanctioned by match referee Roshan Mahanama under Article 2.5 of the PSL Code of Conduct for Player and Player Support Personnel.

But it was Zalmi’s hot finish in both innings that eventually won them the match.
